HR Advisor- Recruitment & Onboarding (Human Resources)


SUMMARY:

The human resource advisor is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with CHRO and Talent Acquisition Manager. This position carries out responsibilities in the coordination, administration, credentialing and clearance of new hires, transfers and promotion. Leads new employee orientation activities and ensures a best-in-class onboarding experience. Sole focus for this role will be within the talent acquisition and onboarding, but will support process other HR related activities and projects as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:

  1. A bachelor's degree and or a master's degree in HR management.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years experience across all HR disciplines, including employment, benefits, compensation, employee relation, training and development, workers compensation and conflict resolution.
  3. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification or ability to obtain certification within 12 months of hire date.
  4. Extensive working knowledge of state/federal employment and labor laws, performance management, training management, maintaining employee files, people skills, resolving conflict, and employment law.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following, other duties may be assigned.

  1. Facilitates the interview and onboarding process.
    1. Facilitate pre-employment requirements of drug test, background and reference verification. Consult with HRO as appropriate.
    2. Scheduling and attending career fairs as to generate qualified applicants.
    3. Developing and conducting training programs for managers as to improve recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reduce turnover.
    4. Process relocation/ sign-on agreements.
    5. Facilitate transfer process for internal movement; such as promotions.
    6. Conduct appropriate transactions to onboard or transfer associates.
    7. Understand and be able to back-up recruitment as required.
    8. Support Talent Acquisition Manager as assigned.
  2. Facilitates orientation program for new hires and established employees.
    1. Collect required documentation for payroll entry.
    2. Educate on payroll and timekeeping process.
    3. Process and distribute ID badges.
    4. Ensure OSHA and all required training courses have been completed.
    5. Be a resource for new hires and transitioning employees.
  3. Assist with Employee Benefits.
    1. Assist in the administration of employee health plans.
    2. Ensuring the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and services.
    3. Administering health plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
    4. Reconciling benefits statements.
    5. Working alongside the payroll professional regarding overseeing benefits deductions and additions to the company's patrol system.
  4. Assists in the review/evaluation process.
    1. Facilitate 30-60-90-day introductory evaluation packets.
    2. Assist in the preparation and administration of PCHG's wage and salary program.
  5. Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  6. Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  7. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  8. Travel Expectation.
    1. Travel to various sites is required on a routine basis.
    2. Comply with PCHG's motor vehicle safety program
    3. Use of company or own automobile for local travel.
    4. Valid driver's license and automobile in good repair.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
