Credentialing Specialist

General Description:

The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for provider credentialing and ensure appropriate documentation is maintained. Partners with the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Talent Acquisition team to credential and recredential new providers and clinical staff, prepare packets for presentation to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and the Board of Directors and provide relevant documentation to compliance, billing and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in human resources, administration, business or related majors
  • Experience with provider credentialing or maintaining regulatory documents

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collects documents from new hires and care team members to package information for credentialing and privileging
  • Keeps the Talent Acquisition team and key care team members informed on new providers and potential concerns that may provide delays in onboarding and work with candidates to obtain records timely
  • Partners with the CHRO to present credentialing file to executive team members and the Board of Directors
  • Data entry and record retention of credentialing, licensing files. Ensure appropriate stakeholders have the information needed to be in compliance with grant funding, HRSA requirements and other obligations.
  • Provide credentialing documents for insurance credentialing
  • Participates in regulatory site visits and audits. May require extended hours during times of visits.
  • Keep current with industry benchmarks, employment law and best practices
  • Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
  • Keep other care team members informed when situations occur that disrupts timely patient flow through site.
  • Adhere to patient care needs and the core values of Premier Community HealthCare to a provide best-in-class patient experience
  • Work towards attaining department goals and drive Quality Improvement / Quality Assurance (QI/QA)
  • Other duties as assigned
